Drift into deep sleep while listening to the gentle sounds of the adjacent bubbling brook…

From the Creekside Cabin you have a view of the twin peaks of Bullhead Mountain. Bullhead, purchased by The Nature Conservancy (and managed as a wildlife preserve by the state of NC), is a completely natural (no structures or lights at night), fully-protected landscape.

With the stocked trout pond in front and the trout stream flowing along side, the cabin is decorated with a rainbow trout theme. Custom designed by regional artists, the walls are accented with natural slate and locally collected stones; and painted to resemble the subtle light of a dawn sky. Handmade pottery lamps, custom painted rugs, antique furnishings and trout artworks create a serene place to relax.

With large windows overlooking fields and forests, the Dogwood Cabin is perfect for relaxing and watching the natural world. Deer and many types of birds are attracted to this spot and are easily viewed from inside while enjoying the fireplace in the fall and winter or from the private deck spring and summer.

The built-in slate-topped desk provides a spacious and attractive area to pen new memories of this serene setting.

Nestled on the mountain at the edge of the native forest and wildflower trail…

Flowering lady slippers are typical of the mountain cove plants around the Stone Mountain Cabin. Enjoy the antique rocking chair beside the fireplace while you relax into another world, or sit outside on the private deck with a table and two chairs. Antique furnishings.
